From Stia (interactive Woolen Mill Museum, Parish Church Santa Maria
with Andrea della Robbia Terracotta) up to the palatial tower of the
Porciano Castle (11th century), then down to Santa Maria delle Grazie
(Sanctuary of the 15th century). Nearby the ancient water mill (13th
century) of Bucchio with an interesting trout breeding. | ||||||

From Poppi (the magnificent castle of the XII
century, the picturesque village with medieval arcades and the
largest Romanesque church in Casentino, the Abbey of
San Fedele) to the hamlet of Badia Prataglia (the
church with it’s crypt of the 8th century and the visitors
center of the National Park) and then to Camaldoli, the mother
house of the Camaldolite Order (Monastery and Hermitage of the 11th
century). A short walk through the centuries-old silver fir-wood is
recommended.

From the small town of Bibbiena (Sanctuary of Santa Maria del Sasso in
Renaissance style) on a scenic road to Chiusi della Verna and to the
well known Sanctuary of La Verna where St. Francis of Assisi received
the Stigmata. Here we recommend a short hike to Monte Penna, an
excellent viewpoint in a mixed forest of unique value.
